NASCAR reveals status of Denny Hamlin's No. 11 car at R&D Center

NASCAR took Denny Hamlin's No. 11 car to the R&D Center after the Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway. Following a strong run at Kansas, the sport conducted a closer inspection of Hamlin's vehicle; however, did the Joe Gibbs Racing driver receive any penalties?

Hamlin's No. 11 car had no issues at the NASCAR R&D Center, which is the best result from further inspection. In previous years, NASCAR has found issues that cost a race team and driver over 100 points and more, so Hamlin receiving the green light is excellent news.

Going into Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Hamlin sits second in the points standings with a 26-point deficit to Kyle Larson. There are six races left in the NASCAR season. The driver of the No. 11 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing hopes to carry his momentum into Las Vegas, as the organization looks to capitalize on its speed in 2026.
