Layne Riggs to return to Front Row Motorsports for 2027 Truck season

Layne Riggs will be returning to Front Row Motorsports. Earlier in the month, Riggs confirmed that Front Row Motorsports picked up his option for the 2027 NASCAR Truck Series season during Chase media day. the driver of the No. 34 truck has been one of NASCAR's best drivers in 2026.

Following the Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway, Riggs sits second in the standings with a 37-point deficit to Kaden Honeycutt. It has been a tough start to the Chase for Riggs, who has given up a lot of points over the first two races. With five races left in 2026, Riggs has to finish out races with the best results possible.

Riggs figures to be one of the championship favorites going into the 2027 NASCAR season. It is unclear who will join Riggs as Front Row Motorsports, as Chandler Smith goes to Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR O'Reilly Series. Riggs will chase a championship, but he will have another opportunity next year.
