Vote for Blue FCU's Fort Collins-area Football Player of Week (Week 4)

The Coloradoan is proud to present another aspect of our weekly Athlete of the Week series, partnering with Blue Federal Credit Union to honor the best Fort Collins-area tackle football players throughout the fall 2026 season.

The weekly Fort Collins-area Football Player of the Week poll has five nominees, and fans can vote every Tuesday through Thursday at coloradoan.com/sports .

You can find the nominees and ballot below. Voting is open this week through 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 24 , with the winner announced Sept. 25.

Fans can nominate their favorite players (deadline: 11:59 p.m. every Sunday) and the Coloradoan sports staff will ultimately select the nominees each week.

Meet the Blue FCU Football Player of the Week nominees and winner for Week 4 (Sept. 17-19):

Jackson Craig, Timnath QB: The Cubs needed just one half to get a running clock rolling against Niwot, and their senior QB led the way. Craig was again poised and efficient, going 6-of-8 passing with 143 yards and three touchdowns in the 49-0 win that has Timnath out to a 4-0 start this season.

Donovan Dumas, Fort Collins TE/LB: What a two-way game for the Lambkins junior. On defense, Dumas made a team-high nine tackles (one for loss) and added an interception. On offense, he was a mismatch, hauling in six catches for 123 yards and a TD in a blowout win at Erie.

Brayton Meglen, Wellington RB/KR: Meglen was absolutely electric in a 56-7 thrashing of 2A contender Strasburg. The Eagles junior carried the ball 21 times for 247 yards and five touchdowns (four in the first half) despite having two 50-plus yard TD runs called back by penalty.

Preston Mozer, Fort Collins WR : Mozer keeps looking like one of the best wide receivers in Colorado this season. The junior wideout had another big night, catching seven passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, including an 82-yard strike to help keep the Lambkins unbeaten in a 56-9 win.

Robert Trotter Jr., Windsor QB: The Wizards got on the board with their first win of the season behind a strong offensive performance in a 42-0 win against Skyline. Trotter Jr. had a breakout game under center, going 11-of-14 with two TDs throwing the ball with another 20 rushing yards and a TD on the ground.
