The true freshman quarterback options are not great, as Jared Curtis has been turnover-prone in recent weeks. But to show some love to our signal-callers here, we'll go with Clemson's Tait Reynolds.

Clemson is 4-3 on the season, and Reynolds has thrown for 1,096 yards. He has thrown more interceptions (3) than touchdowns (1) this year, but he's also completed 66.7% of his passes. Miami's defense is not the strongest part of Mario Cristobal's Canes team, as it is primarily led by the offense. In fact, we have one of Dunnigan's offensive teammates next on this list.

But as a true freshman, Dunnigan is a star. He is second on the team in tackles, with 28 total tackles, including a pick-six and a forced fumble. His pick-six came on the road against Clemson:

Last week after Miami's dominant 52-23 win over Pitt, Dunnigan was graded as the highest-graded safety of the week per Pro Football Focus.

He has 24 total tackles so far, including 13 solo stops. He is also tied for second on the team with five sacks on the season. He also forced a fumble against Louisiana Tech:

He should only get better learning the defense as LSU faces tough remaining games this season against Alabama, Texas and Tennessee.

Kentucky is having a dream season of sorts under first-year head coach Will Stein. The Wildcats are 7-1 on the season and ranked ninth in the country. Did we mention Kentucky is tied for first in the SEC alongside Georgia? What a time!

A big reason for the Wildcats' offensive success is quarterback Kenny Minchey, who has a favorite target in Darby. The receiver leads UK with 38 receptions for 507 yards and three touchdowns. He is also averaging 13.3 yards per catch.

His best game came during Kentucky's 35-34 overtime win against South Carolina, when he finished with 12 receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown.

BYU dropped out of the Big 12 and College Football Playoff conversation a bit with the Cougars double-overtime loss to UCF. But a huge reason for BYU's 6-1 start to the season is how well Glasker has been playing.

The true freshman is BYU's leading receiver and favorite target for Bear Bachmeir. So far this season he has 28 receptions for 498 yards and four touchdowns.

Against Colorado State, he had a season-high five receptions for 131 yards, and scored three total touchdowns during BYU's season-opener against Utah Tech

Prospect Rating: Three-star WR (No. 118th in position, 1,713 overall, No. 35 out of Maryland)

I mean, is there any debate about who is No. 1 here. Jesse Legree has taken the college football world by storm, helping little old Oregon State get out to a 5-2 start to the season.

He currently leads the nation in receiving with 1,040 yards and 14 touchdowns, ahead of stars in Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith and Miami's Malachi Toney. He is also averaging 22.61 yards per catch, which also leads the country.

Legree is also on-pace to break a freshman record this season. At 14 scores, he is behind leaders Michael Crabtree of Texas Tech (22)

and Jeremiah Smith (15) as record-holders for touchdown catches in a single season. He has scored just one touchdown in two Oregon State games so far this season, so it would be surprising if he didn't break that record.

He is also the second FBS player in history in 30 yards to get at least 100 receiving yards and a touchdown in his team's first seven games, according to ESPN . That puts him up there with Oklahoma State's Justin Blackmon in 2010.
