NFL Week 4 Live Fantasy Football Start 'Em Sit 'Em Lineup Advice and Latest Injury Updates
The calendar has turned to October, and for different fantasy football managers that means different things.
The calendar has turned to October, and for different fantasy football managers that means different things.
For some, the first month of the season has been a breeze. They have rostered players like Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs or Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. As those stars have piled up stats, they have piled up points—and victories.
For others, however, things haven't gone as smoothly. The only things that have piled up are injuries—injuries that have blasted holes in starting lineups. Highly-drafted players have disappointed. Losses are mounting. The season is in danger of coming off the rails.
Whether you are rolling or reeling, Bleacher Report is here to help you start Week 4 with a bang—with the injury news, lineup advice and fantasy tips that will either keep the good times rolling or end that depressing early-season skid.
WR Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders (Hamstring)
RB Jadarian Price, Seattle Seahawks (Chest -- IR)
WR DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles (Hamstring)
WR Keenan Allen, Indianapolis Colts (Groin)
It appears that Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers will stay play against the Chiefs in Week 4, but being added to the injury report on gameday with an illness does not inspire the warm and fuzzies--especially with a 4:25 PM kick.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was already coming off his worst fantasy effort of the season in last week's loss to the Chicago Bears.
Now he draws a poor fantasy matchup for his position short his top wideout and starting tight end.
Hurts is a low-end QB1 in Week 4--at best.
The New Orleans Saints have also surrendered the fourth-most PPR points to tight ends this season.
But starting Atlanta's Kyle Pitts in fantasy feels a lot like Charlie Brown barreling toward a football--he knows what's going to happen, but he can't help himself.
Last week, Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love had the best game of his young career--26 touches, 109 yards and a score.
The third pick in the 2026 NFL Draft should keep the positive momentum going this week against the Giants--New York has been kind to opposing running backs this season, allowing the likes of Javonte Williams of the Cowboys and Kyren Williams of the Rams to post fat stat lines.
Given all the injuries at running back, some fantasy managers have little recourse in Week 4 but to roll out New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara on Monday night and hope for the best.
"The best" probably won't be much. The opponents they have faced have played a part, but the Atlanta Falcons have allowed just 47.7 yards per game on the ground this year--fewest in the NFL.
As expected, Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is active against the Eagles after missing the last two games with a groin injury.
And there was much rejoicing--except from Davante Adams managers.
Fantasy managers with shares of Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley are starting him in Week 4. That goes without saying.
But Barkley already had a tough matchup with a Rams defense allowing just 101.3 yards per game on the ground, and now the Eagles will be short right tackle Lane Johnson, who was a late scratch for personal reasons.
No surprises here, which is a good thing.
Of course, that may only be because we already knew that 47 fantasy-relevant players were out this week.
London games are the bane of fantasy managers.
Brycen Tremaine isn't a fantasy play for the faint of heart--prior to last week he didn't have a target, much less a catch.
But Tremaine caught four passes for 83 yards against the Browns in week 3, the Panthers WR corps has been hit hard by injuries and the Detroit defense couldn't cover a wall with paint.
He's literally the only fantasy asset playing in the London game who has done anything.
It has been a slow start to the 2026 season for Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud--he enters Week 4 barely inside the top-20 in fantasy points among signal-callers.
But Stroud will have No. 1 receiver Nico Collins back Sunday against Dallas, and the Cowboys have allowed the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.
If Stroud can't make some hay in this matchup, it's hard to justify rostering him--let alone starting him.
OK, so calling Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson a "sleeper" may be pushing it--with Jadarian Price headed to injured reserve, Wilson was one of the most added players in fantasy this week.
But per Jamey Eisenberg of CBS Sports , Wilson has nine games in his career with double digits in carries. He has scored at least 11.7 PPR points in six of those outings.
It wouldn't surprise this writer if Mike Evans is active in Week 4--the veteran wideout has a history of playing through injuries.
But it also wouldn't be a surprise if he sits, and with the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Denver Broncos in the late window fantasy managers need to have a Plan B at the ready.
Can I interest you in a gently-used Cooper Kupp?
Three weeks into the 2026 season, no team has allowed more fantasy points to quarterbacks than the Detroit Lions.
All three quarterbacks who have faced the Lions this year have thrown at least three touchdown passes.
Young entered Week 4 fourth among quarterbacks in points, and a top-five outing is a real possibility Sunday night.
Sunday morning's London game between the Commanders and Colts may cause an international incident between the United States and the UK.
But at least Jonathan Taylor managers got a score out of it.
Ollie Gordon was one of this week's hot waiver wire pickups this week after De'Von Achane tore his ACL.
but in their zeal to grab any running back with a pulse, fantasy managers overlooked a couple of things.
The first is that Gordon was a full-time back last week only because Jaylen Wright was inactive. Wright is expected to play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, and he's listed as the starting running back on Miami's depth chart.
The second is that the Dolphins are terrible, so it may not matter who the lead back is. Wright and Gordon will likely split a workload that wasn't doing anything for Achane.
Neither Miami back is more than a desperation flex.
The Colts offense is unwatchable right now.
Daniel Jones has completed six of 14 attempts for 22 yards with a lost fumble and a pick.
Colts tight end Tyler Warren has as many targets as I do.
What? I'm on a tight ends kick, apparently.
Given the rip that Travis Kelce has been on to start the 2026 season, you don't need me to tell you to start him--Kelce entered Week 4 second at the position in PPR points.
But the old man's a safe bet to hit double-digit PPR points for the fourth time in as many weeks--only two teams have allowed more points to the position this season.
Last week against the Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers tight end Darren Waller saw eight targets, catching five passes for 51 yards.
With Jalen Coker (quad) likely out Sunday night, Waller should see a similar target share against a Detroit Lions defense that couldn't cover a bed with a sheet.
Fantasy managers with shares of Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III are likely not especially happy with the news that Tyson Bagent will draw the start for the Chicago Bears at quarterback in Week 4 and not Case Keenum. But it offers a glimmer of hope that maybe a switch under center will get tight end Colston Loveland going after a dreadful start to the season.
But Sunday's matchup with the Jets isn't a good one--Gang Green has allowed the third-fewest PPR points to tight ends so far this season.
Fantasy managers hoping for a big game from Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs Sunday morning with Terry McLaurin out may have wished they had slept in.
I'm not sure Athan Kaliakmanis is a real person.
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers racked up six catches for 84 yards in Brazil last week--an impressive stat line given that he played just 21 snaps.
Flowers' fantasy managers will be glad to hear that Sunday against the Titans he should be on the field a lot more--he's expected to play without limitations in Week 4.
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker got off to a torrid start over the first two weeks of the 2026 season.
But Coker left last week's loss to the Cleveland Browns with a quad injury, and that injury is expected to sideline him Sunday night against the Lions.
Don't wait to replace him in fantasy lineups--there isn't much in the way of backup plans playing in that contest.
For fantasy managers who spent their first-round pick on Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, hearing that the fourth-year pro would return Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles is good news.
Hearing that he won't be limited is even better.
Of course, for Davante Adams managers the news is a little less welcome--but them's the breaks.
Given the sorry state of the Tennessee offense, starting any Titans player in fantasy doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
But many fantasy managers are fresh out of options in the backfield, and Tyjae Spears is expected to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens despite an ankle injury.
Chargers WR Ladd McConkey Expected to Play
The good news is that Los Angeles wide receiver Ladd McConkey is expected to play through his foot injury Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
The bad news is that he'll be playing for the floundering Chargers.
With wide receiver DeVonta Smith expected to miss multiple games with a hamstring injury, it will fall to Dontayvion Wicks and rookie Makai Lemon to serve as the Eagles' top two wide receivers Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
However, the Rams are a below-average fantasy matchup for both wide receivers and quarterbacks, so whether it's those young pass-catchers or Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, Week 4 could be a tricky one.
This isn't to say you should sit Hurts. But if you have a Plan B with a solid matchup it's not the worst idea ever.
Emmanuel Wilson was already a hot name on waiver wires after Seattle running back Jadarian Price was ruled out for Week 4 with a chest injury. Now that Price is on injured reserve though, the Seattle backfield is looking--less than ideal.
Zach Charbonnet has been designated for return, although whether that's Week 5 or Week 6 remains to be seen. Until then, it will fall to Wilson and George Holani to hold down the fort in the Seahawks backfield.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba should see approximately all the targets ever Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers
Nothing like having a star player inactive in a 9:30 AM start in London to start the week off right.
