Browns Beat Panthers, Box Score, Highlights for Deshaun Watson, Shedeur, Bryce Young, Top Players

Deshaun Watson's fourth-quarter heroics handed the Cleveland Browns their second straight win.

Watson hit Harold Fannin Jr. for the game-winning touchdown with 1:48 left in the fourth to beat the Carolina Panthers 21-18 in Cleveland's home opener.

Watson hit Fannin in the end zone for the game-winning score that put the Browns over .500.

Fannin was Cleveland's top pass-catcher with seven receptions, 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The first of the two scores came in the first quarter to give the Browns a 10-point advantage.

Cleveland's lead lasted until the start of the fourth quarter. Carolina's fourth field goal of the contest handed the NFC South side a 12-10 lead.

Cleveland took the lead back on an Andre Szmyt field goal, but then Carolina rebounded again.

Bryce Young's only touchdown pass of the game was to John Metchie III with 4:25 left in the game.

Cleveland responded right away with Fannin's second touchdown catch of the day.

The Panthers had two more chances to get back in the lead, or at least tie, late in the fourth quarter, but the Browns came up with two straight stops.

The win gave the Browns their first winning record since the 2023 season.

The Browns are now tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals atop the AFC North at 2-1. The Browns play the Steelers on Thursday night. Carolina dropped to 1-2 and will try to rebound in Week 4 at home against the Detroit Lions.
