Tom Cruise says Taylor Swift was showing off her football knowledge in their shared suite Monday at the Kansas City Chiefs' season-opening win over the visiting Denver Broncos.
Swift and Cruise were spotted sitting together as Swift's husband Travis Kelce made three catches for 71 yards in the Chiefs' 31-10 victory.
"She was schooling me on football. For real," Cruise told Jimmy Fallon in a Thursday appearance on The Tonight Show (4:45 mark of the video below).
Cruise continued, "First of all, she's a genius... she knows her stuff."
Swift, who married Kelce in July, has been a regular attendee at Chiefs games since she and Kelce confirmed their relationship in 2023.
"She knew nothing about football when she met Travis... she knows. She's just bringing it," Cruise said.
Cruise also appeared on a Friday episode of Kelce's New Heights podcast, in which Kelce also complimented his wife's football knowledge.
"Now she knows everything," Kelce said. "She sees the flags coming in, like, 'Oh, that might be a defensive hold...' She's like, 'That's encroachment.' I'm like, 'You know what that is?'"
Kelce's strong start to his age-37 season, along with a dominant Chiefs debut from Kenneth Walker III, helped Patrick Mahomes lead the Chiefs to victory in his return from the knee injury that prematurely ended his 2025 campaign.
Swift could potentially be in attendance again as the Chiefs look to build on that start with another home game Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET against the visiting Indianapolis Colts.
