The Golden State Valkyries have to win two more games against the Las Vegas Aces to reach the WNBA Finals, but the schedule at Chase Center appears crowded in October.
As the highest seed remaining, the Valkyries would retain home-court advantage in the best-of-seven series with Games 1 and 2 on Oct. 17 and 19 at Chase Center.
A Doja Cat concert scheduled at the arena for Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. would pose a conflict. But the Valkyries said the concert would be moved to a contingency date.
"As is standard practice for major venue events, we always have a comprehensive contingency plan, including backup dates, in place," the team said in a statement. "No changes have been made to the schedule at this time. Any official updates or announcements will be directly shared with ticket holders as more information becomes available."
Valkyries fans may be wary of any potential conflict in light of last year's Chase Center logjam.
The arena hosted the Laver Cup during the first round of the WNBA playoffs, meaning the Valkyries had to play the franchise's very first home playoff game at SAP Center in San Jose instead of their beloved Ballhalla.
The Laver Cup, a men's tennis tournament, was a rare exception as it could not be moved or rescheduled.
