Argentina is set to bid farewell to Lionel Messi in style.

Messi will play his final match for Argentina on Tuesday, Oct. 6, as he suits up for his nation's friendly against Benin in Buenos Aires.

The 39-year-old announced his international retirement in August, but Argentina has called him up one final time to get a send-off in front of his home fans.

To commemorate the occasion, Adidas has released a special-edition jersey that Argentina will wear during the match at Estadio Monumental.

Argentina's traditional sky blue and white pattern is still present, but the narrow stripes have been replaced by wide stripes that mirror the country's flag.

The kits feature gold accents and lettering, drawing inspiration from the Sun of May in the center of Argentina's flag.

Messi's signature logo replaces the Adidas logo typically seen in the upper left portion of the jersey.

Messi goes into his final match as Argentina's record scorer with 125 goals and record appearance-maker with 207 caps.

The match kicks off at 7 p.m. ET and will be available to stream on ViX ( Watch on Prime Video ).
