How They Fared: WSU's Daiyan Henley, Idaho's Kaden Elliss lead the local NFL products in Week 3

Sep. 30—Former Washington State linebacker Daiyan Henley always finds a way to be near the top of the Los Angeles Chargers ' tackle leaders, but this week, he did so along with a forced turnover and a pair of fumble recoveries. As for Idaho graduate Kaden Elliss , he has been the anchor of the New Orleans Saints ' defense through three weeks and leads the team in tackles on the season.

Here's how all the former Washington State Cougs, Idaho Vandals and one Moscow High alum fared in Week 3 of the 2026-27 NFL season this week:

OL, Abraham Lucas , Seattle Seahawks : Lucas started at right tackle in the Seahawks' 33-31 loss to the Commanders. Seattle QB Sam Darnold passed for 379 yards and four touchdowns, but the Seahawks mustered just 44 rushing yards as a team.

LB, Daiyan Henley, Los Angeles Chargers: The team captain recorded nine tackles (five solo), forced a fumble and recovered two fumbles in the Chargers' 24-16 loss to the Bills. Henley is up to 20 tackles on the season, second on the team, only trailing former all-pro Derwin James .

QB, Gardner Minshew , Arizona Cardinals : Minshew did not play in the Cardinals' 36-30 loss to the 49ers .

S, Jaden Hicks , Kansas City Chiefs : Hicks, seemingly now a full-time starter at safety, recorded seven tackles (one solo) and a pass defensed in the Chiefs' 24-10 win over the Dolphins.

LB, Frankie Luvu , Washington Commanders : Luvu did not play in the Commanders' 33-31 win over the Seahawks. Luvu missed last week against the Cowboys with a groin injury and that same ailment kept him out Sunday.

OL, Esa Pole , Washington Commanders: Pole remains on the Commanders' practice squad and did not play in the 33-31 win over the Seahawks.

CB, Chau Smith-Wade , Carolina Panthers : Smith-Wade recorded one tackle in his 15 snaps of special teams in the Panthers' 21-18 loss to the Browns.

LB, Brennan Jackson , Las Vegas Raiders : Jackson remains on injured reserve.

CB, Cam Lampkin , Los Angeles Rams : Lampkin did not play in the Rams' 30-26 loss to the Broncos on Sunday Night Football. Lampkin remains on the Rams' practice squad.

DB, Tucker Large, Philadelphia Eagles : Large remains on injured reserve.

S, Jalen Thompson , Dallas Cowboys : Thompson recorded three tackles (two solo) in the Cowboys' 34-31 loss to the Ravens .

CB, Jaylen Watson , Los Angeles Rams: Watson left the game with an injury coach Sean McVay said is a dislocated shoulder. Before he left, he recorded two tackles in the Rams' 30-26 loss to the Broncos on Sunday Night Football.

WR, Kyle Williams , New England Patriots : Williams returned five kicks for 105 yards and caught one pass for 34 yards in the Patriots' 35-6 loss to the Jaguars . Williams caught the pass on the sideline and used his speed to turn up field, even making it to the end zone. But the officials found his foot went out on the sideline.

QB, Cam Ward ( Miami ), Tennessee Titans : Ward completed 23-of-36 passes for 181 yards with one touchdown and an interception in the Titans' 12-7 loss to the Giants. Ward had a chance at the win, down by five with 24 seconds left inside the Giants' 10-yard line. But on first-and-goal, Ward looked right, then scrambled left and tried to loft a pass to his receiver Elic Ayomanor , but he did not put enough air on it and a Giants' defender intercepted it.

LB, Kaden Elliss, New Orleans Saints: Elliss led the Saints in tackles with nine (four solo) in New Orleans' 35-27 loss to the Raiders. Elliss' efforts up front helped the Saints limit lead back Ashton Jeanty of Boise State fame to just 2.9 yards per carry. After Sunday, Elliss now leads the Saints in tackles on the season with 24.

LB, Christian Elliss , New England Patriots: Christian Elliss recorded three tackles in his start at linebacker in the Patriots' 35-6 loss to the Jaguars.

LS, Hogan Hatten , Detroit Lions : Hatten recorded seven snaps at long snapper in the Lions' 31-24 win over the Jets .

CB, Marcus Harris (Cal), Tennessee Titans: Harris recorded six tackles (four solo) and two tackles for loss in the Titans' 12-7 loss to the Giants.

LB, Jonah Elliss , Denver Broncos : Jonah Elliss recorded three tackles in his start at linebacker in the Broncos' 30-26 win over the Rams on Sunday Night Football.
