Sean McVay loves Rams' resiliency amid frustrating 1-2 start

With two losses in the first three games of the season, the Los Angeles Rams have not gotten off to a hot start. At one point in the offseason, portions of the media were ready to crown them as the NFL's champions. Now, they're multiple games out of first place in the NFC West.

After a heartbreaking loss to the Denver Broncos , head coach Sean McVay and company are looking to rally with a win against the Philadelphia Eagles this week. Asked about channeling his feelings from the loss into this week's work, McVay praised his players for how they've endured the issues of the early season, saying he loves the resiliency of the Rams.

"I think you [have to] understand that tough times don't last, tough people do," said McVay. "The only real growth occurs through some of these adverse moments and you certainly don't want it. I know this, we've talked a lot about it, and this is when you get a chance to lean in. I love the resiliency of this group. I like what I've seen so far. We certainly have gotten tested and had a bunch of different unique things thrown at us in these first few weeks.

"There are a bunch of different things, but all of it represents growth opportunities. I'm interested to just see how we move forward and who we become in the midst of this journey."

That was put on display last week when multiple players stepped up due to injury issues. Josh Wallace overcame a slow start while replacing Jaylen Watson , coming away with an interception. He also nearly had another that could've ended the game, if not for a controversial defensive pass interference penalty.

Both Terrance Ferguson and Colby Parkinson battled through injury, while Davante Adams and Tyler Higbee turned back the clock on their careers.

All in all, the Rams have no quit in them as they look to get back to .500 on the season.
