Report: Browns to sign former Cowboys pass rusher

BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) - ESPN's Jeremy Fowler is reporting that the Cleveland Browns are signing pass rusher Sam Williams to a free agent contract.

Williams, who is being signed to Cleveland's 53-man roster, has played three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

He missed the 2024 campaign with a torn ACL.

Williams was released by Dallas on Sunday after being originally selected by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Last season, he played in all 17 games with the Cowboys, finishing the season with a sack, 23 solo tackles and a forced fumble.

For his career, he has amassed 9.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 49 games.
