Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson's Week 2 game status revealed

New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson no longer has an injury designation for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers .

The speedy running back practiced fully on Monday for the first time since going down with an ankle injury. His return is huge news for the same Patriots offense that struggled against the Seattle Seahawks last week.

In Week 1, the Patriots were forced to lean on the combination of Rhamondre Stevenson and Corey Kiner as the top ball-carriers. Henderson possesses the kind of game-breaking speed that can ruin the best defensive game plans. He'll try to play spoiler for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday when they visit Gillette Stadium for the head-to-head matchup.

Henderson is expected to resume his shared split with Stevenson, with Kiner being the No. 3 option in the offensive backfield.

Second-year running back Lan Larison saw action in the opener against the Seahawks. If he isn't utilized on special teams, he might be a healthy scratch this week.
