Broncos WR Pat Bryant: I felt a nudge, sold enough to get the pass interference call

The accuracy of the pass interference call that set the Broncos up for the winning touchdown over the Rams in last Sunday night's game has been debated around the football world, but what's not in debate is that Broncos wideout Pat Bryant did all he could to ensure a flag was thrown.

Rams defensive back Josh Wallace was covering Bryant on a pass to the sideline and Bryant did his best impression of a soccer player when he felt contact from Wallace on his back. During an interview with Romi Bean of CBS News Colorado, Bryant acknowledged that he flopped because there was a much better chance of getting a penalty than a catch on the play.

"It was a little pass interference. I did sell it just enough to get the flag," Bryant said. "He definitely gave me a little nudge that I felt. I felt like I couldn't get the ball, so it was either the ball or the call. . . . It's something that a lot of people do in this league, I kinda used it to my advantage."

It was a well-timed and well-executed move by Bryant that paid off handsomely when quarterback Bo Nix got into the end zone for the game-winning score a few plays later.
