Ohio high school football schedule Week 9

The biggest game in central Ohio this week is a City League-South showdown between two undefeated teams, West and host South.

Both are 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the City-South, and both are battling for playoff berths. West is eighth in Division II, Region 8 and South is ninth in Division III, Region 11. The top 12 make the playoffs in each region.

South's defense has been sensational, allowing an average of only 7.6 points. The Bulldogs will have to stop West quarterback Del'Navon Bailey, who has accounted for more than 1,900 yards of total offense.

At New Albany, the Eagles (6-2) welcome Pickerington North (7-1) for a key OCC-Ohio game. New Albany is 2-1 in the league, a game behind North and Gahanna Lincoln. (North hosts Gahanna next week.)

New Albany is sixth in Division II, Region 7 and North is third in Division I, Region 3.

Kilbourne, which is 7-1 and fourth in Region 3, hosts an OCC-Capital game against Westerville North, which is 4-4 and ninth in Region 3.
