Four conference titles are on the line tonight in South Bend area high school football action. Follow here for live scores and updates!
The time has finally come for the last week of regular season IHSAA football in 2026. Sectional brackets for all six classes are set, teams know their identities and just one more game stands in the way of each team before focus officially turns toward the state tournament.
It's the second-to-last week of the MHSAA regular season, too, and the South Bend Tribune coverage area easily has its best slate of the season with four conference championships on the line. Kyle Smedley will have coverage of a Northern Indiana Conference (NIC) title game with 4A No. 6 South Bend Saint Joseph (8-0) on the road against 6A No. 6 Penn (8-0) at 7:30 p.m.
Scott Davidson will have coverage of a Northern Lakes Conference (NLC) championship game, as 4A No. 7 Northridge (8-0) hosts 5A No. 1 Warsaw (8-0) at the same time. Across the border, Division 4 No. 6 Edwardsburg (7-0) hosts Division 4 No. 4 Vicksburg (7-0) for the Wolverine Conference crown at 7 p.m.
Finally, the Indiana Northern State Conference (INSC) championship is on the line when Bremen (6-2) hosts Tippecanoe Valley (7-1) at 7 p.m. In this contest, if the Vikings win, they'll win the conference title outright. If the Lions win, it'll create a three-way tie between Bremen, Tippecanoe Valley and Jimtown, where tiebreakers will decide the champion.
While there is no conference championship on the line at Rice Field, South Bend Adams (5-3) vs. Elkhart (5-3) at 7 p.m. should be a very competitive game as well.
