WWE Money in the Bank 2026 is quickly taking shape, with both ladder matches featuring a mix of established stars and some of the company's biggest emerging names.

CM Punk and Penta have joined Bron Breakker, Je'Von Evans, and Trick Williams in the men's match, while Lash Legend is the latest addition to a women's field that includes Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and Jacy Jayne.

Here are the Superstars with the best chance of climbing the ladder, who could surprise, and which competitors appear to be long shots.

Breakker brings the power, Evans has the spectacular athleticism, and Williams enters as the reigning United States champion. At the same time, Penta and Punk add plenty of experience and star power to the contest.

Penta should be the pick to win the briefcase, as the former World Heavyweight Championship challenger has already been positioned prominently on Raw, and his recent title match against Roman Reigns gives him momentum heading into the ladder match. A report this week named Penta as WWE's reported internal favorite.

Punk is the biggest threat to that prediction, though, as he qualified by defeating Gunther and Finn Bálor on SmackDown, giving him one of the strongest recent wins of anyone in the field.

If WWE wants a major-name briefcase holder who can immediately turn the championship picture upside down, Punk has an obvious path.

The hardest person to envision winning right now is Williams, as he already holds the U.S. title. That doesn't make a Money in the Bank victory impossible, but adding the briefcase would give WWE two major pieces of championship positioning to manage at once.

Breakker and Evans feel more plausible as future winners, especially if WWE wants to use the briefcase to boost one of its younger stars.

Still, Penta has the strongest combination of recent momentum, championship-level positioning and a storyline-friendly reason to carry the briefcase into the next stage of the WWE calendar.

Of the participants in the women's ladder match, Perez is the only performer with previous Money in the Bank experience, while Ruca and Legend are two of WWE's most explosive young athletes.

Perez is the pick to win since she has already established herself as one of the company's most reliable young Superstars, and her previous Money in the Bank experience gives her an edge in the chaos.

The Prodigy also qualified by winning a Triple Threat over Iyo Sky and La Catalina, putting her directly into the six-woman field.

Legend could be the biggest spoiler, as she just defeated Charlotte Flair and Giulia to qualify, and her size and athleticism make her an obvious threat in a match built around climbing ladders and throwing opponents out of the ring.

Ruca is another intriguing option because the ladder match is a natural showcase for her athletic ability.

For many, Jayne feels like the toughest sell as a winner right now. She already carries the Women's United States Championship, and giving her the Money in the Bank briefcase would create an unnecessary situation with two championship-related prizes at the same time.

Vice also has plenty of upside, but she will be entering the match more as a breakout candidate than the obvious favorite.

WWE has several viable options in this match, but Perez currently has the clearest combination of experience, momentum and storyline potential to leave New Orleans with the briefcase.
