Indiana basketball schedule closes with Purdue, features Power 4 challenges

BLOOMINGTON — Darian DeVries ' second season as Indiana 's coach will begin with a series of high-profile exhibitions and end in West Lafayette.

The Hoosiers ' 2026-27 schedule, released in full Wednesday, includes multiple stops in Indianapolis — not least the Big Ten tournament after that rivalry regular-season finale — and a swing through the Pacific Northwest in early January.

After an exhibition season that includes Butler , North Carolina and Western Kentucky (in Evansville), DeVries will have to navigate nonconference games against Syracuse, Kentucky, Arkansas, UCF and Missouri. The Hoosiers will host Rutgers and travel to Iowa for their two-game Big Ten December interlude. And they get their West Coast swing as the league slate restarts, with Oregon (Jan. 6) and Washington (Jan. 9) the second and third games after the new year.

Indiana will not see in-state rival Purdue until Matt Painter's team comes to Bloomington on Feb. 16. DeVries' squad makes the return trip three weeks later, for the regular-season finale March 5, at Mackey Arena, before everyone converges on Indianapolis for the conference tournament, March 9-14.
