The Philadelphia 76ers may have a problem on their hands.

As reported by ESPN, LeBron James is dealing with some left foot tendinitis as well as some pain with his sciatica. James dealt with the sciatica issue last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, and it seems to be a persistent problem heading into this season.

This was one of the biggest problems that many expected to see as James enters his 24th season at the age of 42. Until his stint with the Lakers, James was never a huge concern when it came to the injuries because he took such great care of his body. Now, it seems Father Time is starting to catch up to him. Things are okay for now because it's something the team can manage until the start of the season.

Now here's the big problem here: Both of these injuries are a huge concern because neither one can be completely cured. The hope is that they can keep it manageable and maybe it won't cause James to miss an extensive amount of time.

If James ends up missing time, this could cause a huge wrinkle in what the 76ers want to do with the team. There's already growing concern for this team with how so many players are already battling injuries and the season is two weeks away. The good thing is that the bench depth could provide a sigh of relief. Now, there's obviously no replacing a player the likes of James, but this team has enough to get by. Offensively, they shouldn't miss a beat.

Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown alone can handle the offensive scoring . The concern could come on the defensive end. James may have lost a step on the defensive side, but his IQ makes up for that, and that's going to be the element that will be missed the most.

VJ Edgecombe and Joel Embiid, along with Brown, can handle things defensively, but it won't be without its share of hiccups. James was brought to this team to help get them over the hump of the second round of the playoffs. But if these two injuries keep him out of action, he may not be able to stop the storm from coming.

It's too early to declare that this team is in trouble, but with James having these kinds of problems, it's going to be hard to not criticize the 76ers and the problems that lie ahead.
