Florida high school football Super 25 rankings: Aquinas still No. 1
St. Thomas Aquinas and IMG remain No. 1 and 2, while Columbia and Raines both move into the top 10 for the first time after big wins in Week 7.
St. Thomas Aquinas is still the No. 1 ranked football team in Florida, but IMG is closing the gap.
The Raiders, which have been the top-ranked team in the state since the preseason, received nine first-place votes to hold onto the No. 1 spot in the USA TODAY Florida Super 25 heading into Week 8.
Aquinas rallied to beat Chaminade-Madonna 21-20 on the road in Week 7. The Raiders sealed with the win with a late field goal block.
IMG picked up five first-place votes, which is the most any team other than Aquinas has received this season. The Ascenders topped previously undefeated St. James (Virginia) 44-42 on a last second field goal.
Columbus, Chaminade, West Boca, Miami Central, DeLand, Columbia , Raines and Venice round out the top 10.
