Five Key Visits to Track Out West This Weekend
We track the five most significant visits being taken by Western recruits this weekend...
There are several key games taking place this weekend, with Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC schools hosting key games.
But here, we track the five most significant visits being taken by Western recruits this weekend.
4-star 2028 OT Aden Owolabi visiting Oklahoma
Dru Samia once went from Danville (Calif.) San Ramon Valley to Norman and the Sooners would love to have lightning strike twice with Owolabi, the No. 1 prospect in California in the 2028 class, visiting this weekend when the Sooners host Kentucky. They've been on his extreme short list from the jump and he's well aware of Samia's history with the Sooners, where he was a four-year starter and All-American and Owolabi is even better at the same stage.
4-star 2028 LB Landon Miller visiting UCLA
How much positive momentum has UCLA built with a 5-0 start under Bob Chesney? Miller didn't even have UCLA really on his radar pre-season, and had no plans to take a visit to Pasadena to watch them play. He was at USC two weeks ago, already making one trip to the Southland but then last weekend, took a visit to Oregon and saw the Bruins win in Eugene. That quickly led to the Concord (Calif.) De La Salle linebacker setting up an unofficial visit to UCLA, who never backed down despite having little traction and they're now very much in the race for him.
4-star 2028 QB Titus Huard visiting Kansas State
Kansas State has been in the top echelon of schools for Huard for quite some time. The Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian quarterback was in Manhattan last month, but this time, he's bringing the whole family, including his father, Brock, a former NFL quarterback. It's clear that Collin Klein has prioritized Huard, who like Klein, is from Colorado and now getting a second visit, including the family, only enhances their chances with him.
4-star 2028 WR Quincey Clay visiting Oregon
Since Dan Lanning took over at Oregon, the Ducks have had major success in Idaho- Kenyon Sadiq , Gatlin Bair and then last year, Hudson Lewis , have been their success stories. Clay was at the USC-Oregon game in Los Angeles, but instead of USC offering him after the game, the Ducks did instead and now he's planning to visit this weekend for the game with Nebraska and Oregon has been a longtime dream school for him. Like Sadiq, Bair and Lewis, Clay played for RARE 7v7 in Idaho so the Ducks would like to keep that going with the Boise (Idaho) Capital receiver.
4-star 2028 DB Jaelyn Easterling-Flores visiting Oklahoma
Oklahoma already has a commitment from Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge in 2027 cornerback Mikyal Davis . But they'd love to make it consecutive years with Scorpions and they're in the final six for the four-star safety, a Top 100 player nationally and a Navy All-American Bowl selection. The Sooners have been making a big push for him and Davis has been recruiting him to Norman as well and he's another headliner set to visit this weekend.
