Clydesdales to join Lane Kiffin for first Victory Hill walk

BATON ROUGE, La. ( Louisiana First ) — The walk down Victory Hill on Saturday, Sept. 5, will mark Lane Kiffin's first time marking the tradition as head coach of the LSU Tigers.

Kiffin will join the LSU football team and the Golden Band from Tigerland. Also, the Budweiser Clydesdales will be special guests.

Mockler Beverage said the Clydesdales are part of Anheuser-Busch's long partnership with Folds of Honor. This organization gives educational scholarships to families of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders.

"The Clydesdales have been a part of some of the most famous sporting events in history; now we can add LSU & Death Valley to that list," Mockler Beverage President Chris Davis said.

The partnership will also raise money for Folds of Honor through Budweiser and Bud Light sales.

According to a news release, $1.50 for every barrel equivalent of Budweiser and Bud Light sold at participating locations from May 1 through Nov. 30 will be donated to Folds of Honor, with donations totaling up to $1.5 million.

A portion of proceeds from Budweiser and Bud Light sold during Saturday's game will also benefit the organization.

LSU and Clemson are scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. inside Tiger Stadium.
