The NBA announced Sunday night that Atlanta Hawks guard Kingston Flemings has been suspended for a game after elbowing Bryce McGowens in the head during the fourth quarter of Saturday's 121-99 loss against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Flemings intentionally popped McGowens in the face away from the play and was ejected.
Flemings, 19, has appeared in seven games thus far for the Hawks during his rookie season, averaging 7.1 points, 4.7 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three.
The No. 8 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft has shown some flashes early in his career, including a 23-point game against the Miami Heat on Oct. 28.
His dirty elbow from Saturday night was a bad look, however, and led to a scrum on the court.
He'll miss Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers due to his suspension. The Hawks (3-4), who have lost four of their last five games, will be looking to move back to .500 against the Pacers.
