Pune finance company executive orders veg biryani on food delivery app from Lohegaon eatery, receives chicken biryani instead, alleges dizziness and vomiting

Pune: A 28-year-old man allegedly received chicken biryani while he had ordered veg biryani from an eatery on Porwal Road in Lohegaon through an online food delivery app on Tuesday night.The Dhanori resident, who works as a manager at a private finance company in Yerawada, lodged a complaint with the Vishrantwadi police on Wednesday.Inspector Sampatrao Raut of Vishrantwadi police said, “The complainant and his family members follow a vegetarian diet. After reading the eatery’s menu, he placed an order for veg biryani. The complainant opened the parcel and ate a few morsels before realising it contained chicken.”“Following this, the complainant vomited a couple of times and felt dizzy. He then approached us with the parcel of biryani along with the receipt of the online order mentioning veg biryani.
