Young minds battle it out at moot court, Gauhati University grabs top spot

Guwahati: University Law College, Gauhati University, won the Moot Court Competition at the three-day All India Law Graduate Conclave 2026 organised by University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM).Former chief justice of India B R Gavai and Meghalaya high court chief justice Revati Mohite Dere attended the concluding ceremony.The winning team — Dishamoni Deka, Adishree Hazarika and Anju Devi — received Rs 1 lakh. NEF Law College, represented by Stuti Pradhan, Kuldeep Bhattacharjya and Alokesh Mandal, finished runner-up and received Rs 50,000.Deka was adjudged best speaker and received Rs 15,000. Harshita Sai Lakshmi of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, won the best researcher award and received Rs 10,000.
