Bhupen Hazarika’s birth centenary celebrations to culminate in grand Delhi tribute

Guwahati: As Assam continues to honour Bhupen Hazarika’s enduring cultural legacy, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed arrangements in New Delhi on Sunday for the Nov 29 grand finale of his birth centenary celebrations.Sarma inspected the venue at Bharat Mandapam and was briefed by senior officials about the arrangements. PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the event.An exhibition on Hazarika’s life, work and contribution to Assamese and Indian culture will be held at the venue.
