Six in 10 respondents to a recent Fox News survey said they were “extremely concerned” about government corruption ahead of November’s midterms, putting it ahead of inflation, healthcare and other issues.

Nearly 90 percent of 1,202 people polled said they were either extremely or “very concerned” about government corruption, ahead of “inflation and high prices” — at 85 percent, as their top area of concern.

A clear majority of respondents also were either extremely or very concerned about gas prices, at 83 percent, and healthcare, 80 percent.

Trump’s net worth has risen since retaking the White House in 2024, as he has benefitted from his family’s cryptocurrency ventures and his own stock trades — both of which liberal lawmakers have flagged as areas of concern.

Congress has also failed to pass legislation banning its members from trading stocks, despite clear public support for it.

Senate Democrats last month blocked a bill that GOP Sen. Pete Ricketts (Neb.) introduced to restrict lawmakers from buying new stocks of publicly traded companies.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said the Stop Insider Trading Act, which House lawmakers passed in July , was a “permission slip for corruption” and did not go far enough.

Pocketbook issues remain top of mind for voters, with midterm early voting underway in some states.

Nearly 6 in 10 respondents to the Fox News poll said the cost of living was the country’s top economic issue. More than half of respondents also said inflation was “not at all” under control.

Annual inflation, as measured by the consumer price index , has increased from 3 percent in January 2025 to 3.7 percent last month .

Gas prices remain above $4 per gallon amid the Iran war . A gallon of regular gas costs roughly $4.33 on average as of Thursday, according to AAA .
