There's a debate to be had about whether the Mosin-Nagant is better than the Oris 8.6 . Well, both have their advantages and after spending several hours with each, I've compile an aggressive quick-scoping build that will have you competing with the Oris 8.6 and other meta guns , like the M4 , ISO Nightshade , and VEL 46 .

So, which attachments does the Mosin-Nagant need to perform at its best? After spending several hours maxing out what many claim as the number one Marksman Rifle, I've compiled the best Mosin-Nagant loadout that will have you one-shotting your opponents with ease.

Mosin-Nagant Build Code: M03-3M8SX-6YL11

For this Mosin-Nagant build, I've focused heavily on increasing its range , mobility , and handling to create the ultimate quick scoping Marksman Rifle in MW4 .

It's important to clarify that the Mosin-Nagant does have the capability to one-shot enemies, but its success is dependent on distance. Shots taken at close to medium range will typically one-shot enemies if you hit the upper chest and head. For longer range shots, you will need to aim for headshots in order to earn those one-shot kills.

Here's our recommended best attachments for the Mosin Nagant:

To help aid aggressive plays and make quick-scoping viable, I've chosen the Schlager Visiv-5 Laser and No Stock to their boosts in sprint to fire speed, ADS speed, and movement speed.

Those attachments also help counter our long barrel selection, the Mosin K025 Barrel , which decreases ADS speed and mobility, but at the opportunity to increase our bullet velocity and damage range drastically. Without this boost, the Mosin would often struggle to one-shot in the longer range encounters.

To top off our aggressive build, I've chosen the TV-Light 7-Bolt for its improved firing rate and rechambering speed, as well as the 10 Round Mag which prevents us from having to reload as often.

Now, I will admit that this build might not be for everyone, especially if you're not a fan of tiny iron sights. I do highly recommend giving it a chance, because once you can master the sights on the Mosin-Nagant, it's a super satisfying kill.

If you'd prefer to use a dedicated sight, I would recommend switching the 10 Range Mag for an Optic of your choice - my go-to optics are either the SZ SRE-7, KV Corsac Holo, or the Cronen R808. But ultimately, you can select any Optic that you prefer.

How Does the Mosin-Nagant Compare with Other Marksman Rifles?

Well, for me, I'd give the slight edge to the Oris 8.6 as it generally felt more consistent and easier to handle. That said, the Mosin-Nagant isn't that far behind, and when you do get in a rhythm, it's a very satisfying gun to use. There's no real disadvantage to using either.

Perks: Quick Fix or Ghost, Blood Rush or Fast Hands, and Battle Hardened

Killstreaks: UAV, Counter UAV, Attack Helicopter

For your loadout, I highly recommend running a Semtex as your choice of Lethal, and either a Flash Grenade or a Shock Stick (once you've unlocked it at level 28) in Tactical. These are incredibly powerful, especially on smaller maps. If you're playing objective game modes like Domination , you can expect to rack up quite a few grenade kills each game.

Since I'm a more aggressive run-and-gun player, I'm running the following Perks:

Quick Fix for immediately triggering health regeneration when killing players or Ghost if you want to stay undetected by Enemy Callouts, UAVs, Portable Radars, and Heartbeat Sensors.

Battle Hardened , as tacticals are heavily used in MW4 and highly effective.

Killstreaks are more of a personal preference, but I've opted for UAV , Counter UAV , and the Attack Helicopter . These are particularly helpful if you're wanting to earn more XP each game.
