Flipboard is acquiring Graze, which lets you build custom feeds on the AT Protocol.

From an announcement post: > Combined, we become two halves of one machine. [Flipboard’s] Surf will be the browser for the open social web — where people go to read and discover feeds across Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, RSS, and more. Graze will be the engine under those feeds — how a curator builds, tunes, and monetizes one without writing a line of code. Browse on one side, build and get paid on the other. And together, in joining forces, we serve tens of building atop open social protocols.

The already incredibly bright Soundcore X1 portable projector gets a boost.

The newly released Nebula X1S looks identical to the Nebula X1 and shares most specs. But it goes from the 3,500 ANSI lumen three-lamp optical engine of the X1 to a four-lamp, for 6,000 ANSI lumens (in conference mode). It’s available at Soundcore and Amazon for $3,299. Apple is upgrading some recent Mac Mini M4 orders to M6 or M5 Pro versions for free.

Usually buying new hardware ahead of a revision is a bad thing, but some Mac Mini orders are getting a free upgrade as a result, probably due to RAM and other component shortages. Some have reported M6 upgrades, while this poster on Reddit is now receiving an M5 Pro. The only downside? While some delivery dates have moved up, MacRumors points out that at least one student says theirs will now ship several weeks later. How Meta’s plans for another round of layoffs fell apart.

A report from Reuters details Mark Zuckerberg’s “Project Organization Transformation” — a plan that involved having AI “take over much of the daily work performed by thousands of human employees.” Though Meta went through with layoffs affecting 10 percent of its workforce in May, Reuters reports that the company called off further cuts in November as employees began to revolt.
