Lane Kiffin Gets Snubbed by Ole Miss' Aguero While Appearing to Go for Handshake in Viral Video

Ole Miss safety Joenel Aguero appeared to go out of his way to snub LSU coach Lane Kiffin during the Rebels' 32-24 win over the Tigers on Saturday night.

Some Ole Miss players ran past Kiffin as they celebrated Jaylon Braxton's game-sealing interception. In one video, it looked as though the coach held out his hand to congratulate Aguero, only for the senior to move his hand away:

Aguero transferred in from Georgia ahead of the 2026 season, so he wasn't in Oxford when Kiffin left to take the LSU job.

But the drama surrounding Kiffin's exit was a massive storyline coming into the game, and the holdovers from last year probably didn't hide their feelings toward their old coach.

The Athletic's David Ubben noted that during the postgame handshakes Rebels linebacker Suntarine Perkins "cut off Kiffin on his way off the field" and "just stared at his former coach before the gaggle of state troopers moved him out of the way."

Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss had a chip on his shoulder, too, though that wasn't entirely down to Kiffin:

Ole Miss still has a long way to go. Nine games are left in the regular season, and the team will eventually cross paths with Texas and Georgia, the top two teams in the AP Top 25.

It will ultimately be a little deflating if the team misses the College Football Playoff. Regardless of what happens from here, however, gaining a measure of revenge on Kiffin is something Rebels fans will savor for a long time.
