Texas A&M falls 14 spots in AP Top 25 after embarrassing Kentucky loss

After an embarrassing 31-21 loss to the Kentucky Wildcats at Kyle Field on Saturday, Texas A&M football fell 14 spots in the latest AP Top 25 .

First-year head coach Will Stein and the Wildcats snapped the Aggies ' 19-game home winning streak against unranked opponents. Texas A&M allowed 408 yards of total offense, which is the highest mark against an unranked opponent in the Mike Elko era.

There is definitely some soul-searching that must be done moving forward with the program, especially at quarterback. Marcel Reed had one of his worst performances to date, throwing two picks and displaying extreme inconsistencies throughout Saturday's loss. The Nashville, Tennessee, native has thrown 21 picks in 19 games against power conference opponents at Texas A&M, which must change if this team wants to keep playoff hopes alive in 2026.
