Patrick Mahomes Reacts to His Kids' Heartwarming Message on Video Ahead of Chiefs QB's Injury Return

Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is set to return to the field on Monday night against the Denver Broncos after tearing his ACL in December, and he received a beautiful message from his children before the game.

Mahomes posted three heart emojis after seeing his kids' heartwarming tribute from The Players' Tribune:

Mahomes announced last week that he will play without limitations in Kansas City's season opener against Denver on Monday Night Football . It will be his first time back on the field since tearing his ACL on Dec. 14.

"It's incredible," Chiefs general manager Brett Veach told ESPN's Nate Taylor . "That's a guy that defines what leadership and what the face of a franchise should look like. He gave up an entire summer. He just attacked [the rehab]. Everybody in the building sees it. The level of sacrifice is something that has been an example throughout the entire organization."

After missing the playoffs last season, Kansas City is surely motivated to return to title contention this year. Mahomes will lead the way as the Chiefs try to get the season started on the right foot against the Broncos.
