This past summer was all about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 's wedding, and the latter's teammate, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton , revealed himself as a Swiftie.
During a recent interview, he was asked about being "starstruck" by a celebrity. Swift was "for sure" the most "starstruck" he had been playing in front of a famous person.
When asked if he was a Swiftie, a smiling Thornton replied, "Yeah, I am. Obviously, I am." He was asked for his favorite song, and Thornton began singing the chorus of "I Knew You Were Trouble."
Swift regularly attends Chiefs home games, and it must add pressure to fans like Thornton. He showed out the last time he played in front of her in Week 2, though, catching four passes for 86 yards, including a huge 45-yarder from Patrick Mahomes.
Thornton has been in the NFL since 2022, spending the first three years of his career with the New England Patriots, but had his breakout with the Chiefs in 2025. He caught 19 passes for 438 yards and three touchdowns and was one of Mahomes' top targets.
Taylor Swift and Chiefs' Travis Kelce were the story of the offseason
Swift and Kelce's wedding was the talking point of the offseason. They tied the knot on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Kelce's teammates were among the reported thousand guests at the wedding.
The wedding happened almost a full year after they announced their engagement in August 2025. It has been about three years since they went public with their relationship. Swift is now in her fourth season as Kelce's partner and one of the most famous WAGs in the NFL.
So far, the Chiefs are undefeated during the 2026 season. Swift attended the Chiefs' first two home games at Arrowhead Stadium, which they won against the Denver Broncos and the Indianapolis Colts.
