Tucker Kraft on Packers fans booing: 'It's not gonna help us win'

The Green Bay Packers dropped to 1-2 on the season after a 35-14 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons on "Thursday Night Football." It wasn't the best home opener and the crowd at Lambeau Field let the players know by serenading them with boos during the game.

Many of the Packers players understood the frustration from the fans and understood they as a team did not do anything to change the mood inside the stadium.

Tight end Tucker Kraft , who caught four passes for 26 yards, said hearing the boos was "pretty disappointing" and didn't understand the crowd turning on the home side.

"That's pretty tough," Kraft said via ESPN's Matt Schneidman . "Everyone pictures Lambeau Field and not boos. I don't picture boos when I picture my home stadium. That's tough. It's pretty disappointing. Especially for a home opener. It's pretty disappointing. It's not gonna help us win. I don't know what people think, that's gonna rally us or something like that. But we're grown men. We're mentally strong enough, capable enough to get back on the field and play ball. But it'd probably be much easier with the 70,000 people behind us rather than opposing us."

The lone victory through three games is the worst start the Packers have had under head coach Matt LaFleur in eight seasons. The offensive line is banged up. The running game, which totaled 17 yards against the Falcons, was nonexistent. And the Packers had the ball for 15 fewer minutes in the game than the Falcons.

LaFleur, whose seat is heating up , was at a loss afterward, saying, "I don't know what we're doing well offensively."

Kraft added they're only three games into the season and there's a lot of football left to be played.

"We can't let external noise divide us," Kraft said. "Us guys in this locker room, we're really all we've got. We spend a lot of time together, so just continue to stay close and build off each other."

The Packers will return to action in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before welcoming the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys to Lambeau Field.
