New Marvin Harrison Jr. Trade Rumors on Cardinals WR's Future Ahead of 2026 NFL Deadline
Rival teams continue to wonder about the availability of Marvin Harrison Jr. despite the Arizona Cardinals not yet placing the third-year wide receiver on the trade block, ESPN's Dan Graziano reported Friday.
Rival teams continue to wonder about the availability of Marvin Harrison Jr. despite the Arizona Cardinals not yet placing the third-year wide receiver on the trade block, ESPN's Dan Graziano reported Friday.
Harrison has received just nine targets through a three-game stretch during which Jacoby Brissett has seemingly favored tight end Trey McBride and wideouts Michael Wilson and Kendrick Bourne.
According to Graziano, "the perception of Harrison from people around the league is that he isn't a fit in an Arizona offense that prioritizes McBride as its top target, and that has led some teams to think he might be available."

Graziano noted the Cardinals themselves "have given no indication that they are eager or even interested in trading Harrison."
Should the Cardinals eventually decide to shop Harrison, there would be "plenty" of interested teams, Graziano reported.
Graziano's report follows the Cardinals' Week 3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, during which Harrison recorded season highs in both targets (five) and receptions (three) while recording 40 receiving yards.
He was flagged for offensive pass interference early in the game, but later caught a 19-yard pass from Brissett on a fourth-quarter touchdown drive.
"Trying to find more ways to get him the ball. I thought he played pretty well last game. Every time his number was called, he made the play," Brissett said about Harrison ahead of Week 4. "That was a big third down for us, and threw it with the utmost confidence."
When asked if he ever talked with Brissett during a game about being open on plays when he wasn't targeted, Harrison said , "Maybe during the week... but definitely not on a Sunday or gametime. You let them do their process, go through their progression, their reads... to tell someone, 'Hey, just look at me,' that's not winning football."
Harrison, selected by the Cardinals with the No. 4 pick in the 2024 draft, is playing on a rookie contract that remains under team control through the 2028 season. The Cardinals have both McBride and Wilson under contract through 2029.
Whether the Cardinals ultimately decide to move Harrison to a team willing to bet he can develop into a WR1 with a change of scenery could depend both on his usage down the stretch and whether Arizona (1-2) is within postseason contention by the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
