Cleveland Browns second-year quarterback Shedeur Sanders used his downtime over the weekend to catch up with his father, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.
Sanders surprised Coach Prime with a visit to Colorado ahead of the Buffaloes' home opener against Weber State this past Saturday. The 24-year-old captured the heartwarming moment in a new behind-the-scenes video (11:30 mark):
Sanders also ran into Hall of Famer Ray Lewis during his visit to Colorado, and he told a funny story about his famous pre-game dance (17:55).
Sanders' visit to his alma mater surely paid off, as the Buffaloes cruised to a 52-21 win to improve to 2-0 this season.
While Sanders didn't see any action in the Browns' 34-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Sunday's season opener, he could be thrust into action sooner than expected if veteran quarterback Deshaun Watson continues to struggle this year. Cleveland will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.
