Jaguars receive just a few votes as analysts predict winner of AFC South

Over at NFL.com, 19 analysts submitted their votes for who they believe will win the AFC South this season. The Jacksonville Jaguars received just three of those votes.

Leading the way were the Houston Texans , who received 15 votes. The Indianapolis Colts received one vote, and the Tennessee Titans didn't receive any.

"We know the Texans have an elite defense, but their offseason moves to beef up the running game should pay off by taking pressure off C.J. Stroud and allowing the offense to operate more effectively," wrote Lance Zierlein.

The Jaguars secured the AFC South title last season, fending off the Texans by winning their final eight games of the regular season.

During that stretch of games, the Jaguars boasted one of the most productive offenses in football, led by Trevor Lawrence and the passing game. The defense was one of the stingiest, while also continuing to be one of the best at generating takeaways.

As good as last season ended up being for the 13-4 Jaguars, a reason for continued optimism heading into 2026 is the value of continuity. Rather than implementing new schemes on both sides of the ball, Jacksonville was able to spend this offseason building upon the strong foundations that have been established.
