Justin Jefferson Reacts to 2 TDs in Vikings' Win vs. Packers After 2025 NFL Season Scoring Stats

Justin Jefferson only had two touchdowns all of last season, a major disappointment for one of the elite wideouts in football.

He matched that total on Sunday, however, reeling in eight passes for 92 yards and two scores during a 39-22 comeback win against the Green Bay Packers.

"I guess you could say it was a get-back from last year," Jefferson said during an appearance on SportsCenter . "Really a grind in the offseason, just putting in that work and expecting a lot from myself, to come in here and continue to show that I'm the best receiver in the league. So to come out here and help my team win, getting two touchdowns, that was big for us."

Both were thrown by Carson Wentz, who was thrust into relief duty after starter Kyler Murray left the game in the first half with a concussion.

Wentz didn't have many reps over the summer, with Murray and JJ McCarthy competing for the starting position, but he was named the backup nonetheless and threw for 133 yards and three scores on Sunday.

"It was a different process [this summer], I'm not going to lie," he told reporters after the win. "But I've stayed as ready as I could. Mental reps, reps after practice, whatever that looks like, and at the end of the day leaving it in god's hands. I'm confident in what I bring to the table, what I can do and if my number gets called and that I can step up when needed. So who knew how it was going to play out? None of us did in here, but I trusted god through it. Football is a funny game."

He trusted Jefferson too, and it was a winning bet.
