‘Tom Brady Never Looked as Old as Aaron Rodgers,’ ‘Sad to Watch’ — Ex-Eagles Boss Joins NFL World in Criticizing Steelers QB in Sloppy Loss to Browns

The start of the season has been an absolute rollercoaster for the Pittsburgh Steelers. At 2-2, they have a wildly impressive win over the Cincinnati Bengals, but also dreadful losses against the New England Patriots and now the Cleveland Browns.
Their latest performance, though, raised a lot of concerns about the state of their quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. In his final season, he had a particularly brutal outing on Thursday Night Football, drawing the ire of fans and analysts on social media.
Aaron Rodgers Is Having a Rough Day on Social Media
The Steelers came into this game with a 1-5 record on Thursdays in the 2020s. The hope was that they could change the script, particularly with the momentum from their Week 3 victory over the Bengals.
Alas, they lost 27-24, with Rodgers having far from an excellent game. Throwing for 299 yards and three touchdowns, he had his moments, including the quarterback sneak on the two-point conversion attempt.
However, he also threw two interceptions, including a game-losing one in the final seconds, while being sacked for a loss of 30 yards. As a result, social media was supremely underwhelmed by his performance in primetime.
"It's actually sad to watch Rodgers play," Joe Banner admitted . "He has even lost the mental part of the game."
The former president of the Philadelphia Eagles had one of the most successful runs for an executive in franchise history. During an eight-year run, he led them to the NFC Championship Games and a trip to the Super Bowl. But even Banner couldn't find many positives in Rodgers' outing.

"Tom Brady never looked as old as Aaron Rodgers looks tonight," Grant Cohn of Sports Illustrated claimed , pointing to the only other quarterback to have some success after the age of 40.
Brady, though, was in a different stratosphere from Rodgers, who has been struggling since his final year with the Green Bay Packers. Brady, on the other hand, led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a victory in Super Bowl 55 at 43 years old.
"Getting pretty tired of seeing Rodgers get up all (expletive) off at the sideline after negative plays when he's been responsible for multiple missed opportunities tonight," Chris Mueller of 93.7 The Fan remarked.

"Aaron Rodgers went from having his best game in half a decade last week… to looking like it's the end of his career this week," Josh Carney of USA Today claimed . "Really poor night."
Jarrett Bailey of SB Nation was particularly witty as he mocked Rodgers, writing, "If the goal of football was to throw the ball 10 yards in front of your receiver, Aaron Rodgers would be having the greatest game we've ever seen."
Jon Ledyard pointed out the sacks as a major part of the problem for the Steelers and Rodgers, as he claimed, "Rodgers is running a clinic on how to sack yourself as a QB."
It remains to be seen if this was a one-week outlier or if the disappointing season is going to continue for Rodgers.
So far this year, he ranks at number 30 in PFN's Quarterback Impact Metric with a 66.4 grade. Notably, his Week 4 showing delivered a QB Impact Score of 72.1.
But fans will try not to lose hope as he finishes his final season before riding off into the sunset.
