"I just look like a fat old guy": Travis Kelce makes shocking self-deprecating remark after 101-yard Chiefs performance

Travis Kelce had plenty to celebrate after the Kansas City Chiefs escaped the Indianapolis Colts in a thrilling overtime finish. Yet, instead of focusing only on his 101-yard night or the touchdown that helped Kansas City stay unbeaten, the veteran tight end found a way to laugh at himself. During the latest episode of “New Heights,” Kelce revisited the scoring play and poked fun at his own footwork near the goal line. Travis appeared caught between diving for the score and simply running through the goal line.Still, the joke did little to reflect the overall quality of his performance. Kelce caught nine passes for 101 yards and a touchdown as Kansas City held off Indianapolis 33-30 in overtime. At 36, he is playing his 14th NFL season, and questions about whether retirement could be approaching have followed him throughout the year.ESPN's Mina Kimes recently pointed to age as a factor in the changes seen in Kelce's game, while Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter added to the conversation during the summer.“Andrew and I started with Travis before his rookie year in the NFL. Next stop: Canton/HOF,” Carter said.Kelce, however, has previously made it clear that he intends to keep playing while he feels capable.“I’m gonna do it until the wheels fall off, and hopefully that doesn’t happen anytime soon.
