Star running back Jonathan Taylor believes tougher days await the Indianapolis Colts as they try to dig out of a 2-6 record.
"It's not going to get any easier," Taylor told reporters following Sunday's 42-7 loss against the Tennessee Titans. "It's actually going to get even harder. And teams are going to look at as even more like, foaming at the mouth. So then it comes to a point of like, 'Hey, what are you going to do? Your back's against the wall. What are you going to do? You're gonna have to fight your way out of a corner. Like literally, fight your way out of a corner.' And that's all I'm thinking about, for myself but also how to convey that to the rest of the guys in the locker room."
Of course, it remains to be seen how much longer Taylor remains in Indianapolis, with his name popping up in trade rumors. The Colts have already begun the fire sale, and Taylor would be a logical player to move given the draft capital he might demand.
But if he does remain with the team, he knows the task ahead of them is a tall one.
