New England Patriots sign OL Matt Pryor off Cardinals' practice squad
The Arizona Cardinals lost a veteran OL from their practice squad after he signs with another team's active roster.
The Arizona Cardinals lost some veteran offensive line depth on Thursday. According to the NFL transaction report, the New England Patriots signed offensive lineman Matt Pryor to their active roster from Arizona's practice squad.
Pryor signed with the Cardinals in March and battled for a spot on the roster, but he was cut after the preseason and re-signed to the practice squad. He is an eight-year veteran who can play both guard and tackle.
He has 40 career starts, and he started 15 games in 2024 for the Chicago Bears at right guard.
Now the Cardinals have a vacancy on their 17-man practice squad. We will see if they make an addition on Friday or if they wait until next week to fill that spot.
