Jared Goff Reacts to Tyler Shough's Saints Going for It in OT Loss, Would Lions Have Done It?

The New Orleans Saints raised some eyebrows on Sunday went they went for two after scoring a touchdown on the second possession of overtime with just 1:34 remaining on the clock.

Tyler Shough's pass into the corner for Bryce Lance was incomplete, giving the Detroit Lions a dramatic 31-30 win. But even the Lions thought it was the right call.

"I think you've got to go for it," quarterback Jared Goff told The Athletic's Mike Silver . "We would have done the same thing."

Given that the Lions scored on four of their seven drives between the second half and overtime—and would have only needed a field goal to win had the Saints gone for the tie—taking the risk to go for two was understandable.
