2026 NFL Trade Block Big Board Entering Week 4

As we approach the end of the first quarter of the 2026 regular season, standout players like Jaxson Dart, Brian Burns and De'Von Achane are already out for the year, and the standings aren't quite what most expected.

The Los Angeles Rams have fallen to 1-2, while the Las Vegas Raiders sit atop the AFC West with a flawless record.

While we're still a long way away from the November 10 trade deadline—and even further away from knowing who the true 2026 contenders are—some teams may be more aggressive in addressing needs and bolstering rosters than they were just a few weeks ago.

On Monday, the New York Giants acquired quarterback J.J. McCarthy from the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round pick.

Who are the top targets for this year's trade deadline buyers? Here's an updated look at our top 10 trade candidates, ranked by past production, upside, positional value, contract/cap implications, likely availability, and relevant recent rumors.

You'll also find projected trade values based on factors such as position, player upside, player age, and any comparable deals, along with some logical suitors.

10. Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 5th-Round Pick

The Los Angeles Chargers fell to 0-3 on Sunday, and while they may still believe they can turn their season around, they have to face the reality of their situation. Los Angeles is now staring up from the AFC West basement with no sign of catching up in the immediate future.

If the losses continue to pile up, the Chargers will have to seriously consider selling off excess pieces. Quentin Johnston has suddenly become one of them.

The fourth-year receiver topped 700 receiving yards in each of the past two seasons but has been an afterthought in Mike McDaniel's offense. He has just six catches for 64 yards through three weeks and has watched Tre' Harris take over the WR2 role opposite Ladd McConkey.

Johnston should still interest receiver-needy teams, though, as he has a high physical ceiling and another year on his rookie contract—Los Angeles did exercise his fifth-year option.

Potential Suitors: New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers

9. Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Projected Trade Value: 2027 6th-Round Pick

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers also fell to 0-3 in Week 3, and they lost starting quarterback Baker Mayfield to a dislocated thumb. Head coach Todd Bowles told reporters on Monday that Mayfield is expected to miss at least three weeks with the injury.

Unless undrafted rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels can unleash some magic over the next few weeks, the Bucs will have a difficult time climbing out of this hole. They should strongly consider trading away running back Kenneth Gainwell, who signed a two-year, $14 million deal in the offseason.

Gainwell can be a very productive back, as evidenced by the 1,023 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns he compiled with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. However, he hasn't been utilized in Zac Robinson's offense. He's played just 42 percent of the offensive snaps and logged a mere 16 touches so far.

With running backs like Breece Hall, Travis Etienne Jr., Jordan Mason, Isiah Pacheco, and De'Von Achane currently injured—Achane is out for the season with a torn ACL—Tampa might have an opportunity to sell relatively high here.

8. Walker Little, OT, Jacksonville Jaguars

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 6th-Round Pick and/or Veteran Defender

The Jacksonville Jaguars are sitting at 2-1 and should be buyers instead of sellers at the trade deadline. However, they're also in possession of a potentially valuable trade chip in the form of offensive tackle Walker Little.

Little has primarily played left tackle in the NFL, but he has cross-trained at other spots. The 27-year-old has never been a high-end starter, but he has appeared in 73 games with 39 starts. He can help a team seeking offensive-line depth or a capable spot starter at left tackle.

Right now, Jacksonville isn't one of those teams. It has its tackle tandem set with Anton Harrison and Cole Van Lanen. Little, meanwhile, has played just 40 total snaps on offense and special teams.

Jacksonville would likely consider flipping Little for draft capital and/or some defensive help ahead of the trade deadline. Doing so would save the Jags $11.4 million in cap space.

Potential Suitors: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers

7. Mason Rudolph, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 6th-Round Pick

On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers saw starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers rebound nicely from a dreadful Week 2 performance.

At 2-1, they should still believe they can make a playoff run with the veteran at quarterback. They shouldn't be too attached to the depth they have behind him, either.

Pittsburgh carried four quarterbacks into the regular season: Rodgers, Mason Rudolph, Will Howard and rookie Drew Allar.

Longtime NFL reporter Jason La Canfora noted at the beginning of the year that Rudolph could be available if interested teams emerged.

"The one thing stopping this is not Pittsburgh's willingness to sell, it's the number of quarterbacks potentially available across the league which could make finding a deal more difficult," La Canfora wrote for Casino.org.

The Giants' acquisition of McCarthy takes one team off the board. The Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders are probably satisfied with their quarterback situations following strong performances by Case Keenum and Marcus Mariota, respectively.

However, QB injuries will continue to mount, and not every team has a strong backup situation.

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 7th-Round Draft Pick

The Tennessee Titans are one of five teams sitting at 0-3, and it doesn't feel like they'll be turning around their season soon. Quarterback Cam Ward has, thus far, failed to make a Year 2 jump, while Robert Saleh has underwhelmed in his second chance as a head coach.

Defensive lineman Solomon Thomas was brought in to help Saleh revamp Tennessee's defense. He played under Saleh with the New York Jets, and he was acquired in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys.

While the Titans' defense has been sneaky good through three weeks (10th in yards and points allowed), Thomas hasn't been a big part of it. He's logged four tackles while playing just 26 percent of the defensive snaps.

Thomas is set to be a free agent in 2027, and if he isn't going to see the field often in Tennessee, the Titans should look to cash him in. He has strong rotational value, as evidenced by the 27 tackles and three tackles for loss he recorded last season.

5. Joey Porter Jr., CB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 2nd-Round Pick

Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is back on our list, as, at least publicly, Pittsburgh's stance has changed.

During Week 2, Tracy Wolfson of CBS Sports reported that Porter had been cleared of his back injury and could return in Week 3, while the Steelers were "not actively shopping him and have not received any calls regarding him either."

Now, the Steelers are "willing to listen" to trade offers for Porter, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter , and have received inquiries from teams such as the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions.

The interest is understandable, as Porter has been an above-average starter since midway through his rookie season. Pittsburgh's interest in trading him is also understandable. He will be a free agent in 2027, and the Steelers don't negotiate with players after the start of the season.

Pittsburgh is 2-1 without Porter and will risk losing him for nothing in the spring if they keep him.

The caveat here is that the Steelers will want "a strong compensation package," per Schefter. Any team dealing for him will likely also need to offer Porter a top-of-the-market contract extension. This means that only teams willing to take a big swing are likely to apply.

Potential Suitors: Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions

San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback Mac Jones has fallen from our top spot for a couple of reasons. For one, the Giants, Bears, and Commanders all appear to be in better shape at quarterback than they were a week ago. Secondly, the 49ers have to be looking at all the quarterback injuries and thinking that keeping Jones is more important than ever.

Brock Purdy is playing like an MVP candidate, but he did miss eight games a season ago. Jones went 5-3 as the starter in those games and kept San Francisco on a playoff trajectory.

Obviously, the 49ers aren't planning to lose Purdy to injury again, but they've already seen injuries mount at other positions this season. Prying Jones away from San Francisco won't be cheap.

That said, the 49ers were open to moving Jones for a second-round pick in the spring, according to The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt , and they're likely to lose him in 2027 free agency. He also remains the top target for any contenders that lose their starter before November 10 or those simply looking to get a jump on next year's free-agent QB class.

Potential Suitors: Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets

The Miami Dolphins probably won't go winless in 2026, but they are 0-3 and face a brutal upcoming schedule. Furthermore, free-agent addition Malik Willis hasn't shown quite as much promise at quarterback as the team might have hoped.

Granted, Willis is playing with an underwhelming supporting cast. However, his numbers (627 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs, 74.1 QB rating) leave plenty to be desired.

If Miami's offensive issues persist, the Dolphins could begin prioritizing 2027 and beyond—and may consider moving impending free agents such as Uche before the deadline.

Losing Achane for the season certainly won't help on that front.

Expect Miami to consider moving impending free agents like edge-rusher Josh Uche before the trade deadline. He has 11 tackles, one tackle for loss and three QB pressures this season, and he can help another team as a part-time defender.

Potential Suitors: Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants

The Cleveland Browns looked like the worst team in football during their 34-10 loss to Jacksonville in Week 1. Since then, though, they've rattled off a pair of wins and have started to see signs of life from quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Watson hasn't been great, to be fair, but he has a 104.1 passer rating and is starting to find a rhythm in Todd Monken's offense. However, he has yet to develop any real chemistry with wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Instead, Watson has leaned on rookie wideouts K.C. Concepcion and Denzel Boston, along with tight end Harold Fannin Jr. Jeudy, meanwhile, had two catches in the season opener and has logged just one target and no receptions since.

The Browns should view Jeudy as expendable, and he should retain value for receiver-needy teams. While he has largely disappointed since the start of last season, the 27-year-old was a 1,200-yard Pro Bowl receiver in 2024.

With a 2026 base salary of $1.5 million , Jeudy should fit even the tightest cap budgets.

1. Khalil Mack, Edge, Los Angeles Chargers

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 4th-Round Pick

The Chargers will carry a winless record into this week's matchup with the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. They face the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs after that and could realistically be 0-7 at the bye week.

It's certainly looking like it could be a lost season for Los Angeles, and the Chargers should look to cash in their trade chips while they can. Pass-rusher Khalil Mack would be a huge one ahead of the trade deadline.

While he'll turn 36 in February, Mack is still extremely effective as a rotational pass-rusher. He already has two sacks, four tackles for loss, and seven quarterback pressures this season.

Teams are always looking to add pass-rushing help, and injuries have only increased the league-wide need at the position. Myles Garrett and Nick Bosa have both been sidelined, and the New York Giants just placed Brian Burns on season-ending injured reserve with a torn ACL .
