NFL running back power rankings entering Week 4

And there it goes. Just like that, De'Von Achane is out for the season. Breece Hall was also a casualty of Week 3. Ollie Gordon is the likely replacement for Achane, while Braelon Allen will, temporarily, take over for Hall.

15. Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers

I'm going to be patient and follow the talent, but Hampton has struggled to get going this season. We can say the same thing about the entire Chargers offense, and it won't get easier against the Seahawks this week.

It was a weird game between the Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers , but we didn't see anything to change our minds about Brown. He averaged 4.7 yards per carry on 13 carries as Brown continues to be the main back for Cincinnati.

After a quiet start to the season, although he did have a rushing and receiving touchdown in Week 1, Williams settled in last week. He averaged 5.2 yards per carry on 19 carries while also rushing for a touchdown. The role is secure, but the matchup isn't the best against a tough Houston defense this week.

Swift didn't rush for a touchdown in Week 3, so that kept his production down, but our opinion is unchanged. He gained 84 yards on 20 carries, so there's no concern about load or backfield hierarchy. In Week 4, Swift should also find room to run against the Jets .

See what happens when you don't exhibit patience. It was by far the best game of Love's young NFL career. Arizona released him in a tough matchup against the San Francisco 49ers , and the rookie was up to the task. Now, I have no choice but to put him back on a list he shouldn't have been removed from. That's what 21 carries for 90 yards along with five catches for 19 yards a touchdown can do for you.

Once again, there's concern about Williams being in a timeshare with Blake Corum . And again, it doesn't appear to be an issue. For the second straight week, Williams' workload increased. This time it was 15 carries for 88 yards and six catches for another 70 yards.

Barkley was back on the field and has returned to full health after missing the majority of Week 2's game. He's yet to rush for a touchdown this season, but it's hard to argue with a performance nearly identical to Week 1: 15 carries for 78 yards.

Jeanty has a workload each week, but he's yet to gain traction. In Week 3, he managed 56 yards on 19 carries (2.9 yards per carry). Jeanty has yet to rush for a touchdown this season, but he also has 13 catches for 97 yards.

It doesn't matter what country Henry is playing in, you know exactly what he's going to do. In this case, Henry rushed for two touchdowns, six on the season, while gaining 89 yards on 24 carries. This just never gets old.

It's unclear how this will play out by the end of the season, but for now, it's working great for Cook. For the second straight week, he averaged 6.4 yards per carry and finished with 24 carries for 154 yards and a touchdown. With that level of production, who cares that he didn't catch a pass?

5. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are taking things slow with McCaffrey this season, and there are no issues with that. In Week 3, it meant 15 carries for 75 yards and a touchdown. That came with four catches for 41 yards. It's a performance we would take every time.

Walker continues to play a large role in Kansas City's offense, and we are getting quality to match the quantity. He picked up a touchdown both on the ground and through the air while touching the ball 20 times. Perhaps things get a little hard against the Raiders this week, but there's no need for concern.

After two straight weeks of two touchdowns each, Taylor failed to crack the end zone in Week 3. He found it difficult, rightfully so, to find room to run against the Houston Texans and finished with 20 carries for 68 yards.

We expected the offense to be better with Michael Penix under center, but did we expect 29 carries for 194 yards and two touchdowns? Atlanta will continue to rely heavily on Robinson, and he's very much up to the task.

The nerve of Gibbs falling short of the century mark. All he did was carry the ball 20 times for 99 yards and two touchdowns. We should add, though, that Gibbs also caught seven passes for 65 yards and another touchdown. Yes, he's pretty good.
