Brittany Mahomes is opening up about an injury that has quietly followed her through motherhood, workouts and her busy family life. The entrepreneur and mother of four recently revealed that she has been dealing with De Quervain tenosynovitis, commonly known as “mother’s wrist,” for nearly a year. What began as something she expected to settle on its own gradually became harder to ignore, leading Brittany to seek answers and start using a wrist brace.Brittany Mahomes reveals year-long wrist injuryEarlier this year, Brittany shared the update on Instagram after learning more about the condition affecting her wrist. “To find out l have this…” she wrote on Instagram Story May 5 alongside a screenshot of De Quervain tenosynovitis symptoms. “Been battling it for probably around a year now thinking it will just get better, well it never did and started to get pretty bad…”De Quervain tenosynovitis involves inflammation around the tendons located on the thumb side of the wrist. The condition can make everyday movements such as lifting, gripping and twisting painful, which can be especially challenging for parents caring for young children.Brittany also posted a photo of herself wearing a brace and joked about the new addition to her workout gear. “I get to wear this cool thing.”Despite the discomfort, she has not stepped away from exercise. Another post showed the 30-year-old continuing to lift weights, suggesting that she is adapting her routine while dealing with the injury.Brittany Mahomes continues recovery after back injuryThe wrist problem comes as Brittany continues to rebuild her strength after a much more serious back injury. She previously revealed that pelvic floor issues contributed to a fractured back and encouraged other mothers to pay attention to their recovery after childbirth.“Just your daily reminder: Once you have kids please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously,” she wrote on social media at the time. “From: A girl with a fractured back.”Her progress has since been closely linked to her fitness journey. In January, her coach Kristy Rae highlighted how far Brittany had come after months of rehabilitation.“A year and a half ago, rehabbing a broken back meant severe pain and limited movement,” Kristy detailed on her Instagram Story Jan. 5. “Now, almost a year postpartum and progressively getting stronger every week. Proof that the body is capable of incredible things when you meet it with patience and intentional training.”For Brittany, the latest wrist setback appears to be another part of a longer recovery journey. Rather than stepping away completely, she is continuing to focus on strength while giving her body the attention it needs.Stay updated with the latest Asian Games 2026 news, check the Asian Games medal tally and complete Asian Games schedule.Get the latest Sports News and Live updates.
