The Seattle Seahawks spoiled the Kansas City Chiefs' perfect record on Sunday with a dominant 20-3 win.
Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba said that, despite it being relatively early in the season, his team treated the matchup like a playoff game.
"Our backs were against the wall and just how we came out here as a brotherhood and fought and swung," Smith-Njigba said. "The resiliency of our team is something special, and we're going to keep doing it."
Contenders starting to separate themselves after Week 7
Smith-Njigba led the way for his team with 150 receiving yards and a touchdown, completely torching the Chiefs' man coverage against him.
"Eyes get big when I see it," Smith-Njigba said of man coverage from the Chiefs. "I know that if we got the chance to take a shot in man coverage, so always love my chances when I see that."
The defending champions looked questionable after dropping three of their last four games coming into Sunday's matchup, but picking up a win over a top team like Kansas City should help them start to turn things around.
Seattle will look to make it two wins in a row next week when it faces the Chicago Bears.
