After helping the Jacksonville Jaguars get off to an early AFC South lead, two-way star Travis Hunter took some time to support his family during the team's Week 7 bye.
Hunter shared a video on Thursday showing him attend a high school football game in Georgia to cheer on his younger brother, Trayvis Hunter.
Trayvis, a junior at Effingham County High School in Springfield, Ga., compiled over 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns during a 42-21 victory against Grovetown. The 5-foot-7 wide receiver has already received scholarship offers from Georgia Southern and Georgia State, according to Savannah Morning News .
Collins Hill High School head coach Drew Swick, who formerly coached both of the Hunter brothers, spoke glowingly about Trayvis during an interview with DNVR Sports in 2024.
"[Trayvis will] be a little bit shorter than Travis," Swick said. "He's a slot receiver and also plays corner and safety for us and also does returning. He's an unbelievable athlete, you talk to him he wants to be his own person. He's just as good as Travis as a freshman, we didn't have him start as a freshman like Travis but if we didn't have as much skill as we've got he probably would be up there and able to start earlier. He's an unbelievable kid with high academics and is well-respected in the building and the community."
During his collegiate career, the elder Hunter became the first player to play both offense and defense since NFL Hall of Famer Charles Woodson. The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and he has helped transform Jacksonville into a Super Bowl contender.
The Jaguars are set to face the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football with hopes of improving to a 6-2 record. Hunter has improved as a defensive player in his second season. After reeling in a pair of interceptions before Jacksonville's bye, he'll have another opportunity to force turnovers against a Baltimore team that's starting their third-string quarterback.
