It's already basketball season as November starts with a cross-continental game in the 2026 Oui Play showcase at Adidas Arena in Paris, France, with No. 11 UNC facing No. 21 Oklahoma to start the season.

The Tar Heels defeated the Sooners in their last matchup at the 2023 Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte, 61-52.

This year, Carolina is coming of back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances with eight returners and top-ranked Class of 2026 prospect Katie Harpring , who scored 29 points in an exhibition loss at Maryland last week.

The Sooners are also on a two-time Sweet 16 streak, led by reigning ESPN National Freshman of the Year Aaliyah Chavez.
