Clemson found another way to win Saturday, even with an offense that never reached the end zone. Behind timely defensive plays and another productive afternoon from Nolan Hauser, the Tigers escaped Syracuse with an 18-13 victory for their second straight road win.

The result moved Clemson to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in ACC play, while giving Dabo Swinney a conference record with his 118th ACC regular-season victory.

Jahiem Lawson supplied the Tigers' only touchdown, returning a backward pass from Steve Angeli 22 yards after pressure from Kourtney Kelly. That third-quarter score created the separation Clemson ultimately needed.

Ashton Hampton later intercepted Angeli in the end zone, wiping out a scoring opportunity with just over six minutes remaining. Syracuse eventually pulled within five, but Tait Reynolds picked up two first downs with his legs to help secure the victory.

Hauser handled the rest of Clemson's scoring with four field goals. His 54-yard make tied the school's single-season record with his 27th field goal and established a program career record for kicks of at least 50 yards.

It was hardly a comfortable afternoon for Clemson, which won without an offensive touchdown for the first time since its 2023 victory over South Carolina. Still, the Tigers head home with consecutive victories and a chance to build momentum against Georgia Tech .
